65th Anniversary Brush Rodeo

The Brush Rodeo Association was established in the 1950’s, however there have been rodeos in Brush, Colorado since the early 1900’s. The Brush Rodeo Association presents the July 2-4 rodeo every year and is a non-profit organization.

Join in the 65th Anniversary Rodeo “Celebrating 65 Years of Cowboys, Kids, & Country! 3 Days of Rodeo Fun in Brush, CO!! 

More than 500 contestants compete in the largest Colorado rodeo in its class. 10,000 spectators,  fireworks, a spectacular parade, art show, and more occur every Fourth of July for this three day event.

This year marks the 65th Anniversary of the Brush Rodeo with activities which are to include: Brush Rodeo Queens, Mutton Bustin’, free BBQ,  a fantastic display of 4th of July and Fireworks and a parade, an art show, and so much more!!

The Brush Rodeo Announces the following attractions for this year’s rodeo performances:

  • Thrilling demonstrations nightly by the Colorado Cowgirl’s Performance Team & the Colorado Stampede Riders
  • Leprino Foods Mutton Bustin’ for children ages 4-6
  • July 2nd Cargill’s free community barbeque- free with purchase of rodeo ticket
  • July 3rd Seniors GET IN FREE!
  • July 4th – Parade
  • July 4th: Firework Show
  • CACE Community Art Show July 2-4
  • Brush Chamber of Commerce beer garden nightly throughout the grandstands
  • Returning this year kids games during the each rodeo performance including: Balloon scramble, stick horse races & Shoe scramble


The Brush rodeo parade features over 100 entries and lasts about 1 ½ hours. The Brush Area Chamber of Commerce organizes the parade. There is an Art Show starting on July 1st at the Mark Arndt Event Center at the Morgan County Fairgrounds.

​Admission – $10.00 for Adults and $5.00 for 12 and under

7 pm – Watrous Pioneer Award. This is pioneer night and all that are age 62 and over are free.
7 pm – Rodeo and Mutton Bustin’
9 pm – Rodeo Dance

Thursday, July 4, 2019
6 am – 10 am – Lions Club Pancake Breakfast at the EMCL Park, used book sale and quilt show
10 am Parade – “Celebrating 65 Years of Cowboy’s, Kids and Country” is the theme for this year.
11:30 am – Water fight at EMCL Park
11 am – 5 pm – Brush Museum Open House
5 pm – 9 pm – Beer Garden
6:30 pm – Colorado Cowgirl Performance
7 pm – Rodeo and Mutton Bustin’. 2020 Queen announcement
9:30 pm – Fantastic Fireworks display.
