The Inaugural Philip K. Dick Festival in Fort Morgan welcomes all!
Join us in Fort Morgan, Co August 9-11 2019.
Fans and experts from around the world will meet again in Fort Morgan, the resting place of PKD and his sister, to celebrate Philip K. Dick and his work.
Philip K. Dick fans converge to Fort Morgan for the 2nd PKD Festival. Commemorate this great American science fiction writer with lectures, movies, music, and an art show. Tour the author’s headstone at Riverside Cemetery and explore his creative works such as “Blade Runner” and many more all available at the Fort Morgan Museum and Library.

Thursday August 8th: Early arrivals settle in to their hotels and meet up at the Cable’s Bar opposite the Libary/Museum for food and drinks in the evening.
Friday August 9th: Fort Morgan Library/Museum: 10 am Lord Running Clam welcomes the fans followed by talks, presentations and panels
Midday: lunch at local restaurants
1.30 pm: Philip K. Dick movie showing at the Cover Theater on Ft. Morgan Main Street.
3.30 – 4.30 pm: Panel discussion on the movie
5 pm: A visit to Phil and Jane’s grave site: encomiums, reminiscences and group photos, transitioning into a vigil as night falls. Then back to Cable’s Bar & Grill for more merrymaking and minglement.
Saturday August 10th: At the Museum: 10 am Art Show and presentation of ‘The Fool’s Journey of Philip K. Dick’. And a separate exhibition of original PKD paintings by New Orleans artist Brent Houzenga
12 pm: lunch at local restaurants
1.30 pm: Lectures/Presentations and Panels at the Library/Museum
5 pm: PKD Fan-Fair: Book and Nic-Nac Exchange. Location TBD
6 pm: Diner at the Country Steak Out Bar & Grill. A mix of entertainment including belly-dancing, a Philip K. Dick Trivia Contest with prizes, and musical entertainment. For the dinner and entertainment there will be a cover charge yet TBD.
Sunday August 11th: 10 am: Library/Museum: We say our farewells and waddle off in separate ways.

Prints from ‘The Fool’s Journey of Philip K. Dick’ and the art of Brent Houzenga will be available at the Fan Fair. We shall have rare and obscure PKD books and artifacts on display also.
